Professional Bio
Emi Lenes, PhD, LMHC, LMFT currently works with college students at the University of Florida, providing individual, group and couples counseling and supervision. She has given over 100 professional presentations (across campus, in the local community, state-wide, nationally and internationally). She also has published book chapters and peer reviewed research articles. Previously, for 12 years, she worked in a trauma-responsive, strengths-based environment for teenage girls. Additionally, Emi extensively implemented creativity and healing group activities at an inpatient hospital crisis stabilization unit. As a non-denominational ordained minster, Emi facilitates sacred ceremonies such as weddings, memorials, celebrations of life, and blessing way circles for transitions and milestones.
